1. Solar panel cleaning conditions
The cleaning of solar power panels in solar power stations should be carried out in the early morning, evening, night or rainy days (when the irradiance is lower than 200W/M2), and it is strictly forbidden to choose to clean around noon or when the sun is relatively strong. When cleaning in the morning and evening, you should also choose to do it in the dim sun.
2. Solar panel cleaning equipment
a. Tools for cleaning the ash layer: feather duster, hair brush, etc.
b. Tools for removing tight attachments: plastic scrapers, medium-hardness yarn balls, etc.
c. Tools for removing staining materials and bird droppings: scouring pads, rags, etc.
d. Cleaning tools: cleaning system (including pipes and pressure pumps) or special cleaning machines for solar panels.
 
3. Cleaning method of solar panel components
 
(1) Be careful not to step on or walk on the solar panel when cleaning, do not use metal, hard objects to scrub or use abrasive methods to clean, do not spray water to clean at high temperature.
 
a. Observation and analysis
First, check the pollution degree of the solar panel to be cleaned before cleaning. If it is light pollution-no particulate matter, only ash layer. We recommend only washing or brushing alone. This not only saves and saves manpower and material resources, but also extends the number of years that the surface of the solar panel maintains a certain brightness. Increase its lifespan!
 
b. Rinse and scrub:
When deep cleaning is required, if you find particles on the surface or you can't be sure that there are no particles. Then it must be rinsed first, and then brushed after rinsing off the particles. Why scrub? Because the washing operation can only remove the floating dust and particles on the surface. Especially particulate matter. The effect can be said to be perfect. But it is not very thorough for pollutants that have a certain viscosity or are caused by chemical reactions. If it is allowed to develop over time, it will no longer be able to clean these pollutants.
 
c. Overwater cleaning: This step is very important! Don't need to rinse with clean water after brushing to save trouble. When washing, the tiny dust, particles and some other sundries that were washed during the scrubbing process will be thoroughly washed away from the surface of the battery panel with water.
(2) Routine cleaning can be divided into ordinary cleaning and flushing cleaning.
 
a. Ordinary cleaning, use a small dry broom or rag to remove the attachments on the surface of the module, such as dry floating ash, leaves, etc. For the hard foreign objects attached to the glass, such as mud, bird droppings, and sticky objects, you can use a slightly hard scraper or gauze to scrape, but you must be careful not to use hard materials to scrape to prevent damage to the glass surface. According to the cleaning effect, it is necessary to rinse and clean.
 
b. Rinse and clean, for objects that cannot be cleaned away, such as guano residues, plant juices, or wet soil that are closely attached to the glass. It needs to be processed by cleaning. The cleaning process generally uses clean water with a flexible brush to remove. If you encounter oily dirt, etc., you can use detergent or soapy water to clean the contaminated area separately.
It depends on the location of the photovoltaic project. Generally speaking, wash often in winter and less in summer. Keeping the battery panels clean can greatly improve the efficiency of power generation. In order to ensure normal power generation, it is generally better to clean the solar panels of photovoltaic power stations once or twice a month.
